定义

批判本是指对于某事的客观的判断、分析或评估。批判的目的也就是批判性思维的目的，即在意识到长处的同时也不放过不足，在注意到优点的同时也不忽视缺点。批判性思维之所以提倡批判，就是为了重新构想、重新塑造以便能够做得更好（彭漪涟等，2010：679）。但是，在马克思主义经典著作中，“批判”有时也系指19世纪40年代德国有影响的青年黑格尔派的代表人物布鲁诺·鲍威尔。马克思和恩格斯用“批判”一词代指鲍威尔始于1844年。马克思认为，鲍威尔作为一个主观唯心主义者，其问题在于认为社会的进步不在于社会改革，而在于废除宗教和改变人的观念。他把作为思维活动的“批判”变为特殊的人格化的主体，认为只有“批判”才是推动历史前进的积极因素，而“非批判”的人民大众是阻碍历史前进的消极因素、无产阶级也是没有批判头脑的群氓。他鼓吹一种超越一切的“批判”，扬言要“批判”一切，“批判”无产者。鲍威尔把社会的进步归结为宗教的废除和人的观点的改变，这种观点虽然是由鲍威尔持有唯心主义哲学观所致，但更重要是的鲍威尔把自己视为历史发展和前进的“批判者”，马克思和恩格斯戏称其为“批判”就由此而来（高狄，1991：2848）。
