定义

广义上的党的建设，指的是政党为完成自身的使命而进行领导国家、社会和提高自身生机和活力的理论和实践活动。狭义上的党的建设，指的是马克思主义政党在马克思主义党的学说指导下进行的领导国家、社会和提高自身生机与活力的理论和实践活动。党的建设是毛泽东总结的中国革命取得胜利的三大法宝之一。党的建设简称党建，它既是中国共产党的一项重要工作内容，也是党的一个工作部门，还是一门学科，在中国哲学社会科学中属于政治学一级学科下的二级学科（党的建设.via：http://baike.so.com/doc/5378708-5614919.html）。党的建设是马克思主义建党理论同党的建设实践的统一，马克思主义党的学说的应用，包括三个方面的含义：一是研究党的建设的理论科学；二是在马克思主义党的学说指导下所进行的党的建设的实践活动；三是作为理论原则与实际行动两者中介的约法规章。党的建设包括思想建设、组织建设、作风建设、反腐倡廉建设和制度建设等，具有鲜明的党性和实践性。先进性是马克思主义政党的根本属性和特征，也是马克思主义政党的生命所系、力量所在。加强党的先进性建设，保持和发展党的先进性，是党的自身建设的根本任务（胡椿，2007：38）。
