定义

和谐精神是中共十六届六中全会提出的为构建和谐文化所要培育的精神，是一种以和谐的社会观为核心的道德观念。中共十六大报告六次提到“和谐”：人民和谐相处；社会更加和谐；促进人与自然的和谐；巩固和发展安定和谐的政治局面；保持长期和谐稳定的社会环境；推进多种力量和谐并存。中共十六届六中全会则明确提出：建设和谐文化，必须倡导和谐理念，培育和谐精神，进一步形成全社会共同的理想信念和道德规范，打牢全党全国各族人民团结奋斗的思想道德基础（奚洁人，2007，via： http://cpc.people.com.cn/GB/134999/135000/8105793.html）。对于和谐精神，可以从以下几方面理解，第一，和谐精神是中华民族的基本精神，是每一个民族孜孜以求的目标和追求，是中华文明经久不衰的源泉和动力。和谐精神是一种普遍的文化精神，追求和谐精神是中国建立和谐社会的现实选择，也是培养新一代的现实选择。第二，和谐精神具有价值引领功能，它作为一种价值理念，倡导人类整体利益至上、社会和谐至上，它将凝聚整合各种力量、促进社会和谐发展作为主要的价值目标。第三，和谐精神坚持“以人为本”的基本理念，强调尊重人、理解人、满足人、服务人、发展人，能够激发人们的社会责任感和无限的创造力。第四，和谐精神的内核是“和而不同”，强调尊重差异、包容多样，追求求同存异和多样性融合，树立相互融合、相互包容的和谐价值观，形成社会价值共识。第五，和谐精神追求道德价值共识，强调增强道德凝聚力。第六，和谐精神倡导共生共赢的竞争观念。第七，和谐精神是人类对真善美的价值追求。第八，和谐精神就是科学精神和人文精神和谐统一。和谐精神既充分肯定科学技术在社会生产力、经济发展中的作用，又重视人文智慧对经济发展的深层关怀，注重科学精神和人文精神的整合与发展（郝文武等，2014：189）。
