定义

品德，亦称“德性”、“道德品质”，是一定社会或阶级集团的道德原则规范在个体身上的体现，是人们在长期的道德实践中所不断追求并逐渐形成的，通过人们自身的思想意识和行为方式所表现出来的稳定的道德倾向和特征。它既包括人们主观上对一定的道德原则规范的认识，也包括人们基于这种认识所产生的具有稳定性特征的行为习惯，是主观上的道德认识和客观上的道德行为的统一（魏英敏，2012：338）。品德有三个基本特点：第一，品德是道德意识和道德行为的有机统一。第二，品德是人的自觉意志的凝结。第三，品德是在道德行为整体中表现出来的稳定特征和倾向。品德有五种构成因素，分别是：道德认识、道德情感、道德意志、道德信念和道德行为。唯心主义哲学家从主观意识出发，认为品德是人先天具有的“善端”的扩充，或把人的良知和自由意志看成道德品质形成的根源。而唯物主义哲学家把品德看成是环境和教育的产物。马克思科学地揭示了社会条件和行为主体之间的辩证关系，他认为，品德的形成受社会环境和物质条件制约，但是人作为行为主体必须要依靠个人努力，自觉加强自身锻炼和修养，加强道德自我教育和道德实践才能形成品德。品德可以分为美德和恶德两大类型，美德是具有正道德价值的品德，是长期遵守道德所形成的品德（王海明，2001：353）。恶德是具有负道德价值的品德，是长期违背道德所形成的品德。
