定义

反艺术是德国阿多诺用语。它是指现代艺术对美的感性外观的否定使艺术趋于衰亡，艺术否定其本身，从而在艺术的解体中挽救了艺术。阿多诺从其否定性辩证法出发，认为否定性是现代艺术的本质特征。现代艺术是完全疏离、不同于现实的，非实存的，现象学意义上的“幻象”世界，它以易逝的、耀眼的和表现性的虚构形象来批判和否定现实的虚假，达到对既存经验现实的否定。艺术牺牲对完美的感性外观的追求，用不完美性、不和谐性、零散性和破碎性的外观来实现其否定现实的本性。艺术不再是艺术，成为“反艺术”。但反艺术并非真正消灭艺术，而是通过放弃艺术外观美来否定伪艺术的异化现实。同时，忠实于对异化现实彻底否定的审美乌托邦，以消极、否定自身的外观而赋予艺术以新的生命，以纯粹否定艺术美的外观而使艺术解体，从而挽救异化了的艺术。概括说来，阿多诺以这一“反艺术”概念来定义现代艺术的否定性本质。（金炳华等，2001：338）
