定义

德国康德用语。指道德规范必须以命令方式强迫人履行。康德认为人是一个理性者，具有作为认识事物能力的理论理性和作为指导履行道德行为责任能力的实践理性。实践理性支配善良意志使人的行为向善，但社会的人在理性之外还受感性经验条件的影响，使他的行为不一定服从实践理性的指导，因而只能用道德规律的强制性来克服理性与经验的分裂。命令表示道德的向善要有主观的强制性。康德的这一思想把主观动机与自我意志的约束看成道德的根本动力，否认了道德的社会性与阶级性（金炳华等，2001：1017）。康德把人的行为所遵从的命令形式划分为假言命令和绝对命令。假言命令是人们为了达到某种目的而采取表面上看起来是善良的行动，其公式是“如果……就……”。绝对命令就是：“要只按照你同时认为也能成为普遍规律的准则去行动。而绝对命令也就是道德命令，但康德的道德形而上学的目的不在于阐述什么是道德命令，而在于“道德命令如何可能，则无疑是唯一需要回答的问题”（康德，2005：37-39）。康德认为，对于道德命令如何可能不能像在假言命令中那样在经验中解决，我们完全要先天地加以考究。他也承认对于道德命令寻找其根据，发掘出它的可能性是非常之困难，因为它是一个先天综合命题。康德的道德哲学是非常崇高的，因而他的要求也是及其苛刻的，在世人中到底有没有人能达到他的理想境界是未知的，他本人是非常清楚这一点（冯裕强，2016：64）。但是，康德告诫常人不要停止你的脚步去追求德性，就像“即或直到如今还没有一个真诚的朋友，但仍然不折不扣地要求每一个人在友谊上纯洁真诚”一样。
