定义

资产阶级思想亦称资产阶级观念，是指在资本主义生产关系基础上形成的、反映资产阶级利益和伦理道德的意识形态（刘建明，1993：33），是资产阶级对社会和人生的理性认识的总和。资产阶级思想是在封建社会内部孕育，随着资产阶级的产生、资本主义的发展而形成、发展起来的。资产阶级思想主要是指资产阶级意识形态，包括政治法律思想、经济思想、文学艺术思想、人生观、价值观、道德观、哲学思想和宗教思想等各种理论形式（向洪，1992：836）。它们是人类思想文化史上的重要组成部分，既是对以往时代人类思想文化成果的继承和发展，又带有深刻的资产阶级特性的烙印（万福义，2001：244）。资产阶级思想的核心是主张私有制，坚持个人利益至上。极力主张民主、自由、平等、博爱的人道主义，主张用法治反对封建阶级的皇族专制和等级制度，是对封建思想意识的部分否定，有其进步性，对人类精神解放曾起过重大作用。但是，资产阶级维护私有制，使得丧失了生产资料占有权的大多数人陷入低下的社会地位，其所所主张的平等、自由、民主、个人利益实际上只被少数富人所享有，因此，资产阶级思想中的许多观点都有一定的虚伪性（刘建明，1993：33）。随着资产阶级统治地位的确立以及它与工人阶级和其他劳动群众之间日益尖锐的对立，资产阶级思想逐渐走向保守、虚伪和反动，成为维护资本主义剥削压迫的工具（向洪，1992：836）。
