阿那克萨哥拉(英文Anaxagoras 约公元前500-前428)，他出生于爱奥尼亚的克拉佐美尼。他是米利都学派的哲学家阿那克西美尼的学生。在雅典人战胜了波斯人之后，他被老师带到了雅典。他是第一个把哲学介绍给雅典人的。由于他否认天体是神圣的，因此被控亵渎神圣，幸亏伯里克利的调解才得活命阿那克萨戈拉是一个典型的伊奥尼亚学派哲学家，为理性主义者。他主张地球是一个圆柱体，相信天体和地球的性质大体上是同样的，否认天体是神圣的和主张“精神”(nous)是生命世界的变化及动力来源。他把一切运动都归之于心灵或灵魂的作用。他认为太阳是一块烧得又红又热的石头，比希腊大不了多少(via: http://baike.so.com/doc/5653020-5865667.html)。
