定义

康德的哲学用语。纯粹的，意指在经验之前的、独立于经验的。纯粹理性，即独立于经验的理性，指不依赖于任何经验内容的认识能力（彭漪涟，2010：134）。纯粹理性有广、狭两义。广义包括纯粹理论理性与纯粹实践理性。狭义专指纯粹理论理性。《纯粹理性批判》是指纯粹理论理性的批判，《实践理性批判》是指纯粹实践理性的批判（金炳华等，2007：1649）。在康德哲学中，纯粹理性包括感性直观、知性和理性。康德认为，感性直观的具体内容来自经验，但必须具有空间和时间这两个先天不依赖于经验的感性直观的纯形式，感性知识才能形成。知性用先天独立于经验的纯范畴把感性知识组织起来，使之构成具有普遍性必然性的知识，也构成知识的对象本身，即现象。感性和知性只能认识现象不能认识自在之物。理性是比知性更高级的认识形式。它力图超越现象，把相对性的经验知识统一起来，以超现象的“本体”为认识对象。然而，理性在试图探求有关“本体”的问题时，却陷入种种荒谬的推论和不可解决的矛盾之中。康德批判研究纯粹理性，指出人的认识能力是有限的，纯粹理性无力认识物自体；要对本体有所认识，理性必须让位于宗教信仰（卢之超，1993：80）。康德把认识能力看成是不依赖于经验的先天的东西，否认了认识能力是在经验和实践中产生和发展起来的，因而，康德的纯粹理性范畴具有唯心主义和形而上学的性质（彭克宏，1989：65）。
