定义

资产阶级革命(bourgeois revolution)资产阶级领导的民主革命。资产阶级为资本主义发展扫除障碍，推翻封建制度，建立资产阶级专政的革命。社会革命类型之一。16世纪下半叶的尼德兰革命是历史上第一次成功的资产阶级革命。1640—1648年英国资产阶级革命的胜利开辟了资产阶级世界革命的时代。1789年法国资产阶级革命更为彻底和深刻。在英法资产阶级革命影响下，到19世纪中叶，欧美各主要国家基本上完成了资产阶级革命。在中国，孙中山领导的辛亥革命也属资产阶级革命的范畴。资产阶级革命通常是资本主义生产方式在封建社会内部已经具备的条件下发生的，基本任务只是夺取政权，使其适合于资本主义发展的要求，一般以夺取政权为完成革命。革命的结果是以资本主义的剥削制度代替封建主义的剥削制度。在革命过程中，资产阶级利用工农群众力量反对封建制度，但又害怕人民力量的发展，往往力图结束革命，转而与地主、贵族妥协，共同压迫劳动人民。（金炳华，2003：346）
