定义

意识形态，亦称“社会意识形态”、“形态观念”，是19世纪法国经济学家、哲学家代斯屠·德·特腊西在其《意识形态概论》中创造并首次使用的一个哲学概念。意识形态内容包括政治法律思想、道德观念、宗教观念、艺术思想、哲学观念和经济主张等，其“系统地、自觉地反映社会经济形态和政治制度的思想体系。是特定阶级或社会集团根本利益的体现。是社会意识诸形式中构成思想上层建筑的部分”（金炳华，2003：354）。在哲学史上，“意识形态”一词一度被贬义地使用，带有“虚幻性”、“空论”的含义。马克思把意识形态当作是统治阶级粉饰统治和进行统治的工具，但也强调意识形态是与经济形态相对应的一个历史唯物主义的重要范畴。马克思主义认为，意识形态决定于经济基础，它的内容是经济基础的反映，它的变化也取决于经济基础的变化，并直接反作用于社会经济基础。但意识形态的发展与阶级基础的发展并非任何时候都是完全同步的，意识形态的发展有时候会超过阶级基础的发展，有时候也会落后与经济基础的发展，具有不平衡性。另外，意识形态还具有阶级性，在阶级社会中，意识形态体现的是一定阶级的利益和要求，由于人们的阶级地位和阶级利益不同，就会产生不同的或者根本对立的意识形态，而不同意识形态的斗争，也是阶级斗争的一个重要方面。无产阶级意识形态反映了无产阶级的根本利益，是无产阶级认识世界、改造世界的思想武器，它以公有制为基础，代表了最广大人民的利益，“与一切剥削阶级的意识形态有根本的区别，是人类历史上最科学、最进步的意识形态”（金炳华，2003：354）。
