定义

人格系统不仅受文化系统的控制，也受社会系统的控制（乔治·瑞泽尔，2014：460）。英国帕森斯社会系统理论的下属系统之一。它指人的动机和满足需求的欲望。人格从有机体得到动机的能力、思考的能力、做事和反应的能力，人格将这些生理活动的机能加以运用，形成人的动机，以达到目的的要求。人格是由家庭的社会化过程而发展。人格系统与社会系统的关系是人格系统以社会化的人供给社会系统，从而组织成为社会。人格的社会化即每个人担任不同的社会角色，使每个人成为社会的一个成员。个人人格的形成与他人人格的形成有其类似性。另一方面也会有其特殊性。人格受生理条件和文化背景的影响。在行动系统中，人格是行动者，是显露在外的，但受到社会条件和文化背景的影响，它表现为集合个人的力量以达到完成社会系统中的政治制度的功能。帕森斯认为人格系统表现在社会制度上是政治制度，因为政治制度是组织人的活动的体制（冯契，2001：1168）。
