定义

理论和实践与主观和客观是属于同一序列的哲学范畴，是思维和存在的关系问题的一种特定的理论表征和实践形态。在黑格尔之前，各种哲学都在一定程度上存在着主观和客观相分离、理论和实践相脱节的问题。黑格尔在其辩证哲学中第一次确立了理论和实践的辩证同一的原则。他将实践作为一个重要的哲学范畴引入了辩证法中，认为理论理念（理论）和实践理念（实践）的辩证统一是达到客观真理的决定性环节，提出要不仅把真实的东西或真理理解和表述为实体，而且同样理解和表述为主体。但是，该思想是为论证绝对理念服务的，即理论和实践的同一是绝对理念辩证运动过程中的自身的同一。马克思主义科学地解决了理论和实践的关系问题，在确定新唯物主义的总体世界观和方法论地位的过程中完成了哲学上的最伟大的革命变革。在马克思主义看来，只有把理论和实践结合起来，才能达到真理性的认识。一方面，为了扬弃理论和实践的各自的片面性，必须将理论和实践统一起来。另一方面，在理论和实践之间存在着一种同构性的关系。作为理论的基础、动力和标准的实践，总是在一定的理论预设的前提下对理论的产生、发展发挥着其决定性的作用。同时，作为实践的展示、体现和成果的理论，绝不是对实践的直观的关照、机械的反映和被动的接受，而总是把实践作为自身的规定性包括在自身中的。这样，理论和实践的这种双向建构就决定了它们之间必须也能够结合起来（张云飞，2008：33-34）。
