法治是人类政治文明的重要成果。实施依法治国基本方略、建设社会主义法治国家，既是经济发展、社会进步的客观要求，也是巩固党的执政地位、确保国家长治久安的根本保障。在中国这样一个13亿人口的大国，要实现政治清明、社会公平、民心稳定、长治久安，最根本的还是要靠法治。
十八届三中全会提出，建设法治中国，必须深化司法体制改革，加快建设公正高效权威的社会主义司法制度，维护人民权益。要维护宪法法律权威，深化行政执法体制改革，确保依法独立公正行使审判权检察权，健全司法权力运行机制，完善人权司法保障制度（中国共产党第十八届中央委员会第三次全体会议报.via:
