定义

延异是法国哲学家德里达用语，具体是指符号、语言的差别以及由其引发的不同理解的播撒作用。“是法文différance一词的变换拼法，由德里达采用，以表示与普通的差别有所不同。”（金炳华，2003：26）德里达认为，索绪尔已经触摸到了解构主义。因为索绪尔曾提出过语言的任意性原则和差异原则，所谓任意性原则是指一个事物采用不同语言就有不同的名称，而该事物却没有一个固定的、确切的含义。所谓差异性原则是指语言只是起到了某种区别的作用并由此而形成其意义。德里达认为，索绪尔之所以只是触碰到的结构主义而未能深入结构主义是因为他只坚持言语中心主义刻意强调“能指”与“所指”的对应关系，因而索绪尔不能达到解构的深度层次。“德里达以为只有能指与能指之间的关系，即语言的自我参照，才能说明语言结构的实质。因而认为符号并不能准确表示它所代表的东西，它是所指的代替品，它表示这一符号与另一符号的区别，而且，它延迟所指的出现，并使原来的所指意义扩散开去。”（金炳华，2003：26）德里达指出语言中有无声的内容，有语音中心主义解决不了的难题，该难题能够彻底颠覆形而上学思维模式。德里达还认为，语言生成是既主动又被动的活动。求知欲望是人的本能，人可以有意识地去接触客观外界事物，但是意识不能控制无意识，而是相互作用。所以人类认知活动总是既主动又被动的。此外认知欲望总是不能圆满地实现，于是即发生所谓的延缓，替代，迂回，分派，保留等多层含义。延异是生命运动本身的特点。这一点与心灵书写中的“入侵”对生命的威胁，以及知觉神经组织对此威胁的反映是相通的。
