定义

诡辩（sophistry, casuistry），指有意地把真理说成是错误，把错误说成是真理地狡辩。用一句简单明了的话来说，就是有意地颠倒是非，混淆黑白。玩弄诡辩术的人，从表面上来看，似乎能言善辩，道理很多。他们在写文章或讲话的时候往往滔滔不绝，振振有词。他们每论证一个问题，也总是可以拿出许多"根据"和"理由"来。但是，这些根据和理由都是不能成立的。他们只不过是主观主义地玩弄一些概念，搞些虚假或片面论据，做些歪曲地论证，目的是为自己荒谬的理论和行为做辩护。诡辩论的哲学根源是相对主义，相对主义是一种反辩证法的哲学学说。马克思主义哲学认为，相对之中包含着绝对，绝对存在于（寓于）相对之中。因此，相对与绝对是辨证统一的。如果离开绝对讲相对，夸大相对性，就会陷入相对主义。诡辩论者往往认为，认识对象的存在是相对的，没有质的稳定性，因此也是没有质的区别的。诡辩论者还片面地夸大主观认识能力地相对性，从而否认了认识地真实性和可能性“是亦彼也；彼亦是也；彼亦一是非，此亦一是非”，这就是他们的认识论。（《诡辩》，via: http://baike.so.com/doc/1716801-1815010.html）。在金炳华所做的《马克思主义哲学大辞典》中，他认为诡辩是故意违反逻辑规律和规则的要求，为错误论点做辩护的各种似是而非的论证。它源自希腊语，从技巧、智慧一词转化而来。其最初含义是掌握技巧、具有智慧的人，即“智者”，后来逐渐转化成了欺骗而做的虚假的论证（或议论）（金炳华，2003:578）。
