定义

实践结构是指实践系统中关系的结构，即实践内部因素的结合方式。决定实践结构最基本的三种关系是：人与自然的关系、人与人的关系、人和思维的关系（陈鹏，2010：80）。第一种关系表现为生产力，第二种关系表现为以生产关系为基础的社会交往关系，第三种关系是指思想关系。三者之间又是决定和反作用的关系。实践结构具有相对稳定性，其内部矛盾此消彼长，到一定程度会突破原有结构，以量变引起质变的方式打破旧范式形成新范式。在实践结构稳定期，常常出现的是社会成员的位置变换和物质因素的更新流转，而不是模式的改变；在实践结构转换期，实践结构存在历史性的转换，从原始社会、奴隶社会、封建社会到资本主义社会、社会主义社会乃至未来的共产主义社会都有不同的实践结构，原始社会实践结构中，社会依附于自然，生产以狩猎、采集为主；封建社会实践结构中，社会对自然进行局部性改造，以农业为主；资本主义社会实践结构中，社会开始全面支配和控制自然，以工业为主；后资本主义社会实践结构，人类社会的主动性进一步发挥，以知识经济为标志。随着历史的发展，实践范式中人和社会的主动性变得越来越突出。人与人的交往关系从人身依附——相对独立——自由人联合体的发展，主体自由度不断扩大。人类在一定历史条件下的社会实践范式，是多位一体的统一（陈鹏，2008：105）。因此，实践结构既具有相对稳定性，含有共时性内涵，又是不断发展的，含有历时性内涵。在这个实践结构演进的过程中，社会历史时间可以说是有“密度”的。从某种意义上说，社会历史时间和自然界的时间一样也是具有相对性的，或者说存在着社会历史时间相对论，其时间“密度”大小主要看特定时间段所承载的历史事件的多少和意义。
