定义

类比指将有相似特点的事物连在一起比较。类比一词来源于拉丁文“analogia”，它有多种含义。在《圣经》的诠释中、据阿奎那所讲，类比是一种方法，是为了表明《圣经》里的一部分与另一部分的矛盾。在修辞和语法中，类比指的也是一种方法,这种方法通过提出相似的、更加确切的事例，从而解决关于词的形式上的疑义。十二世纪，有些神学家就在这个意义上使用这个词。中国古代，墨子最先论及类比和类推。他在《墨子·大取》中提出“明故”（探明事物的原因和条件）和“察类”（考察事物的相似性）的逻辑原理。类比一词，现在主要用来指不同事物之间的类似和相像。另一些事物，如果一个表述被推广用于这些事物与该表述所适用的原来那些事物在某些方面相似述，那么，这个表述就具有了类比的意义。类比的出发点是对象之间的相似性，而相似对象又具有多种多样的属性，在这些属性之间又有这样和那样的关系，人们对这些关系的认识过程，是从简单到复杂的过程。随着对这些关系认识的不断深化,人们所运用的类比方法也就出现了不同的类型。一般来说，以不同的关系为根据来进行的类比推理，可以划分为简单并存类比、因果类比、对称类比、协变类比、综合类比五种类型（王早霞，2004:1-5）。
