定义

劳模精神指劳动模范体现出的精神。劳模精神的内涵主要体现在以下方面：第一，强烈的主人翁责任感。就是把国家利益和人民利益放在首位、勇于承担历史使命的责任意识。第二，忘我劳动、爱岗敬业、勇于创新的精神。忘我劳动、爱岗敬业、勇于创新，是“劳模精神”的精髓。第三，与时俱进、刻苦学习的优秀品格。与时俱进、刻苦学习，是工人阶级先进性的重要体现，也是工人阶级担当主力军的重要保障（王宏伟，2007：12-13）。新的历史时期，习近平总书记在2013年“五一”劳动节前夕接见全国劳模代表时强调，要在全社会大力弘扬劳模精神，发挥劳模作用，并把劳模精神概括为“爱岗敬业、争创一流，艰苦奋斗、勇于创新，淡泊名利、甘于奉献”（习近平，2013：1）。纵观中国革命建设和改革开放的历程，尽管劳模精神的内涵在不断与时俱进，但在共和国历史的各个时期始终发挥着重要作用。它引领着时代潮流，带动广大人民群众积极投身于社会建设，其主要体现在：首先，劳模精神升华了劳动者热爱劳动的朴素情感。其次，劳模精神凝聚了劳动者建设社会的向心力量。再次，劳模精神鼓舞了全体劳动者奋发向上的劳动热情（丁建安，2014：105-106）。
