定义

逻辑推演泛指从一个思想（概念或判断）推移或过渡到另一个思想的逻辑活动。它包括由一个概念过渡到另一个概念的逻辑推演（如概念的概括、限定，概念的定义、划分等）和由一个或一些判断到另一个或另一些判断的推演（如各种直接推理、间接推理以及论证等等）。逻辑推演包括逻辑演算，而不等于逻辑演算（金炳华，2003：577）。
　逻辑推演亦称思想的推演，是运用既成的思想得出新思想而又不从真假角度进行考察的逻辑活动。例如，把“动物”和“植物”两个概念结合起来进行相加的推演时，人们便得出“生物”这个概念。由于概念只有实与虚而无真假的问题，因此也就没有从真假角度考察的问题，即便是有真有假的思想，如不涉及其真假值，那么这种活动也是逻辑推演。例如，判断是有真假值的思想，当我们有了A、B两个判断，如果只是指明有两个既成的判断可以得出新判断A-B,而不是从A、B的真假考察A-B的真假，那么我们只是进行了一次判断的逻辑推演。但是，如果我们是从A、B的真假考察A-B的真假，那么我们就是在进行另一种逻辑活动，即确定思想间关系的活动了（李志才，1983：710）。
