定义

异质性即马克思主义内在的异质性，最早是由法国哲学家德里达在《马克思的幽灵》一书中提出的概念。德里达指出，因为马克思的话语具有历史的局限性，所以对马克思主义的遗产也必须进行分析。马克思主义遗产并不是一个完整的整体，它具有一种内在的异质性。马克思主义遗产根本就不能被聚集在一起。它只具有假定的统一性，如果有一种统一性的话，只能存在于有选择地重申的指令中。马克思主义中存在对立和矛盾，如认为马克思主义的所有内容完全协调一致倒是对马克思主义的一种曲解。倘若马克思主义遗产是整齐划一、全部透明，那便无从谈起对其继承，因为可以像受一种“自然的遗传的因素”的影响那样受其影响。凡是继承都不是自然而然地进行的，都需要进行一番“过滤、筛选、批判”。马克思主义遗产的继承者必须正视马克思主义具有一种“内在的异质性”，即在马克思主义自身中存在对立和矛盾。因为继承总是要“筛选、过滤和批判”，正因为马克思主义存在内在的矛盾和对立，才需进行鉴别和梳理，也就是才需要继承（金炳华，2003：1041）。
