定义

德国康德用语。指不受外界约束和情感支配，据自己善良意志按自己颁布的道德规律而行事的道德原则。与“他律”相对。他认为每个理性者的实践理性都可以颁布普遍的道德规律，以使人产生无条件的善良意志，强制人做有道德的事。每个作为理性者的人都有自己颁布规律的能力，这种自己颁布规律的能力即自律。自律的能力表现为道德的良心，并相信别的理性者也可以按照自己的道德目的行事，而不把别人当作利用的手段。这种观点具有人道主义的个性自由与个性解放的特征。（金炳华，2003：18）
