定义

一定的思想观点学说的总和，是意识形态部分。一定阶级或一定集团的思想基础，往往标志着该阶级或集团的政治方向，并规定了它的发展方向和目标。一般来说，思想基础是对社会存在比较集中，比较深刻的反映，而且加以理论化，系统化了。它反映社会存在，由社会存在所决定，同时它又能动地反作用于社会存在。思想基础具有鲜明的阶级性。不同的阶级都有其各自的思想基础。统治阶级的思想基础决定其方针政策，维护其经济基础。被统治阶级同样拥有自己的思想基础，它反对统治阶级的思想基础，维护被统治阶级的利益。不同阶级的思想基础起着各自不同的作用，进步阶级的思想基础推动社会的发展，反动阶级的思想基础则阻碍社会的发展。无产阶级的思想基础是马克思主义基本理论，这是无产阶级的阶级意志的反映，科学地概括了自然界和人类社会发展的规律，是唯一正确的行动指南（迟福林，张占斌，1992：1082）。邓小平在《解放思想，实事求是，团结一致向前看》一文中指出：“实事求是是无产阶级世界观的基础，是马克思主义的思想基础。过去我们搞革命所取得的一切胜利，是靠实事求是；现在我们要实现四个现代化，同样要靠实事求是”（邓小平，1994：143）。思想基础的正确与否将对一个国家、一个政党一个集团的前途和未来产生着深远的影响。中国共产党的思想基础就是马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想。党的十二大通过的党章重申：中国共产党以马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想作为自己的行动指南。习近平指出要：“不断打牢高举旗帜、听党指挥、忠诚使命的思想基础，坚持党的事业至上、人民利益至上、宪法法律至上，永葆忠于党，忠于国家，忠于人民，忠于法律的政治本色”（习近平，2014：150）。只有这样，才能使党始终坚持用共产主义思想教育党员和人民群众，抵制和克服资本主义腐朽思想、封建残余思想和其他非无产阶级思想的侵蚀和影响，建设高度的社会主义精神文明，为实现共产主义社会准备条件。
