曼陀罗华【英】

佛典译为“适意”、“成意”、“杂色”等名。此植物茎高三四尺，枝叶皆似茄子。此华在印度向来被当作是天界的花。其花大者，称为“摩诃曼陀罗华”。

　In India, mandāra is believed to be a celestial flowering tree. It usually grows as tall as 3 to 4 chi (a chi is about one third of a meter), with branches and leaves similar to those of an eggplant. A big mandāra is called mahāmandārava.
