The story is similar to other tales about Dong Yong in Legends of Men of Filial Piety by Liu Xiang and Soushen Ji or In Search of the Supernatural by Gan Bao. However, this verse is distinguished from similar tales by the additional description of Dong Yong going to the Heavenly Palace in search of his mother. |
