定义

种族主义(racism)依据人类生物学上的差别来划分种族优劣的法律政治理论。主要代表人物有法国社会学家哥宾诺、德国尼采。哥宾诺在《人种不平等论》一书中认为，人类各个种族在生理上或心理上都是不同质的，这种差异对社会的历史和文化具有决定性的影响，人类自古以来便分为优等种族和劣等种族，世界史是“优等”人种和“劣等”人种斗争的历史。“高等种族”富有创造物质和精神财富的能力，是人类文明的代表，“低等种族”则没有或缺乏这种创造能力，前者有权统治后者，后者只能做前者的奴隶，这是天然合理的。种族生来就不平等的概念产生于奴隶社会。中世纪的贵族和庶民之间的“血缘”区分，产生了等级的不平等。16-18世纪欧洲各国瓜分殖民地时，种族主义成了掠夺和灭绝美洲的印第安人、非洲人、南亚、澳洲人民的根据。20世纪的种族主义者鼓吹:血统“纯洁”，则意志统一，社会安定;血统“混杂”，则思想混杂，社会动乱，并提出用禁止异族通婚的办法来防止这种危害。希特勒以种族主义作为大批屠杀犹太人和发动侵略战争的理论根据。在当今世界上，种族主义突出表现在白种人视黑人和其他有色人种上。种族主义和种族歧视，激起了黑人和其他有色人种的强烈反抗，也受到世界人民的一致谴责。（金炳华，2003：290）
