定义

在一个集体里组织生活和劳动的形式，在这一组织中其成员不拥有私有财产，并平等分配劳动成果（金炳华，2001：445）。从理论上说，公社是无政府主义和共产主义的最高宗旨。在实践上，它们面临许多问题，例如其成员内部的不平等，各个集体之间在经济上的不平等，它们同社会上更广泛的经济与政治组织、市场以及国家的关系等等。早期的公社是在乌托邦社会主义者欧文、傅立叶等人的影响下建立的，但很快就解散了。战时共产主义时期（1917—1921年）俄国组织了农业公社。在新经济政策出现（1921年）时，大部分公社被解散了，剩下的一些公社在苏联农业合作化时期都变成了集体农庄。中国大跃进时期（1958-1961年），组织了大型的农村公社。这些公社高度组织化；经济刺激被宣传和施加政治压力取代，以便使人们作出更大努力。这项试验，最初是作为走向全面共产主义社会的捷径而提出的，以失败告终（布洛克等，1988：108）。
