定义

有价证券是指具有票面金额的，代表一定财产所有权或债权的书面凭证。它是持券人财产权益的书面证明，因此拥有相应的财产所有权或债权。“如国库券、公债券、公司债券、股票、提单、仓单、汇票、支票、本票等，这类证券本身没有价值，但由于它代表着一定量的财产权利，持有者可凭以直接取得一定量的商品、货币或利息、股息收入，因而客观上也就具有交易价格，故称为有价证券。有价证券可进行金融市场流通转让”。（强力，1997：460）根据有价证券所代表的财产权利的不同性质，可以分为商品证券、货币证券和资本证券三类。有价证券是一种经济权利，有价证券的持有人承担相应的权利和义务。有价证券也是一种投资凭证，持有者可以买卖、转让、抵押有价证券。
