定义

统觉论是19世纪德国著名教育家J·赫尔巴特教育理论的心理学基础。赫尔巴特曾概述：“教育作为一种科学，是以实践哲学和心理学为基础的。” J·赫尔巴特认为人的一切心理机能取决于观念的运动。在赫尔巴特看来，“观念”是人的心理活动的最简单和最基本的要素，是人的全部心理活动的基础。人的心理活动就是观念的聚集和分散的活动，因此，心理学就是研究观念的形成及其运动的科学。在观念的运动中，一个观念由意识形态转为下意识状态或由下意识状态转为意识状态必须跨过的一道界限，那就是“意识阈”。在存在强弱差别的观念中，一些观念由于力量和强度较小而受到抑制，因而沉降于意识阈之下；另一些观念由于力量和强度较大而被抑制，因而呈现于意识阈之上。那些处在意识阈之下的观念，称为“下意识”；那些处在意识阈之上的观念，称为“意识”（刘新科，2002：200）。
