定义

在黑格尔哲学中，“客观化指主观思想、观念的东西转化为对象性的存在，即转化为客观物质存在”（金炳华，2001：756）。黑格尔的整个哲学体系是建立在绝对理念的运动上的，其核心是自我意识的运动。黑格尔认为，认识的对象并不是强加于认识的，即不是现成给定了的东西，而是由认识过程——自我意识的运动构成的。自我意识外化建立了对象，认识由浅入深的过程就是自我意识建立对立面并与之统一的圆圈式的发展过程。他认为“自我意识外在化建立了物性，(自我意识)正是在这种外化过程里把自身建立为对象，或者说把对象……建立为自身。”黑格尔这里的外化即是指客观化。马克思的“客观化”是扬弃了黑格尔的“自我意识外化”的思想建立起来的，客观化的过程就是人在改造对象实现自己的过程。马克思把人看作是客观存在的特殊形式，看作是历史地活动着的人，改造自然又改造自身的社会的人，在此基础上提出客观化的思想，“正是在改造对象世界中，人才真正地证明自己是类存在物。这种生产是人的能动的类生活。通过这种生产，自然界才表现为他的作品和他的现实”（马克思，恩格斯，1972：97）。马克思用现实的历史的人的实践活动以及活动史的整个辩证运动代替了黑格尔的理念运动。人的实践与客体相作用改造了客体，而客体对象在人的实践活动中又被认识从而丰富了主体，前一半是人的活动的外在化，后一半是人的认识的内在化，实践的主体是人，实践的结果产生对象化的人和人化的自然界，这二重性的统一就是马克思的客观化思想（丁立平，2011：131-134）。
