定义

哲学人类学方法论原则之一。即现象学方法在研究人的本体论结构方面的具体运用。这一概念由德国宗教哲学人类学者亨斯坦贝格提出，意指必须从关于人的某种先决的、前科学的假设出发，设定人是什么。这种假设是任何研究都不可避免的，它提供了对人预先了解的“前知识”，打开了通向研究对象的途径。经过论证，如驳倒设定前提所推出的结论，则取消这一假定；如不能驳倒设定前提所推出的结论，则这个关于人是什么的设定成立。亨斯坦贝格把这种寻找和确定这类结论的方法称为现象学方法。它与胡塞尔的现象学有别。胡塞尔为了达到纯粹意识，把具有人类学意义的主体本身的特性放入括弧内悬置起来。人的现象学则是一种否定性的现象学，它不把具有人类学意义的主体放入括弧，而认为在意识中出现的是具有本体论意义的人的根本性质，表示“缺乏这一假定，人就不是他自身”，因此亦特指人的自我否定原则。亨斯坦贝格由这一概念引出了人的客观性思想。这一方法论原则已在现代宗教哲学人类学中被普遍运用（冯契，2001：1165）。
