四风指形式主义、官僚主义、享乐主义和奢靡之风。由习近平在2013年6月18日在北京召开的中国共产党的群众路线教育实践活动工作会议上提出（四风.via：http://baike.so.com/doc/6306427-7543977.html）。四风问题产生的根源为，名利思想、懒惰作风及群众观念淡化，资产阶级思想的影响、封建主义腐朽思想的侵蚀及制度和体制的缺陷，社会价值观的影响及社会心理上的原因等（周荣，闫文涛，2013：39）。四风问题是违背中国共产党的性质和宗旨的，是当前群众深恶痛绝、反映最强烈的问题，也是损害党群干群关系的重要根源。四风是党的群众路线的顽敌，其危害是一方面使党脱离群众、丧失密切联系群众的最大政治优势，另一方面使群众同党若即若离乃至离心离德，长此以往，必将从根本上破坏党同人民群众的血肉联系，从根本上摧毁党。解决四风问题，诚然需要广泛而深入地开展教育实践活动，更需要对准焦距、找准穴位、抓住要害；反对形式主义要着重解决工作不实的问题；反对官僚主义要着重解决在人民群众利益上不维护、不作为的问题；反对享乐主义要着重克服及时行乐思想和特权现象；反对奢靡之风要着重狠刹挥霍享乐和骄奢淫逸的不良风气。
