Sutra-Preaching Monks

定义

在俗讲仪式上说唱讲经文的僧徒。包括司唱经的都讲和司解释及吟诗的法师。此外，还有专司歌赞的梵呗、专司行香的香火等。

Refers to the community of monks responsible for reciting and chanting the sutra-expounding texts on scriptures in a sutra preaching event for the lay people, including the dujiang in charge of reciting and chanting scriptures and the Dharma Master in charge of expounding scriptures in poems and songs. In addition, there were monks singing praises (fanbai) and chants and also those in charge of burning incense (xianghuo).
