解释学，又称“诠释学”、“释义学”、“阐释学”，广义的解释学既是—门边缘学科和一种新的研究方法，又是一种哲学思潮，指对于文本之意义的理解和解释的理论或哲学，涉及哲学、语言学、文学、文献学、历史学、宗教、艺术、神话学、人类学、文化学、社会学、法学等问题，反映出当代人文科学研究领域的各门学科之间相互交流、渗透和融合的趋势。狭义的解释学指局部解释学、一般解释学、哲学解释学等分支、学派。局部解释学泛指任何本文注释的规则和方法的理论体系。解释学的词根hermes来自古希腊语，其意为“神之消息”。有关解释学的研究可以上溯到亚里士多德。中世纪的A.奥古斯丁、卡西昂等哲学家在对宗教教义进行新的解释时，逐步把以往对解释问题的零散研究系统化。16世纪的宗教改革家马丁·路德提出如何直接理解圣经本文的原则与方法的问题，对解释学研究起了较大的推动作用。此外在法学、历史学、语言修辞学等传统研究中也一直涉及解释学的问题。“解释学”一词于1954年首次出于J.丹豪瑟的著作中。哲学解释学有两种形式，一是分析的解释学，涉及理解和解释、思维机器和日常语言等问题；二是人文主义的哲学解释学，其代表人物包括海德格尔、伽达默尔、利科和德里达等人，他们根据现象学的传统及其对客观知识的批判，对本文解释的条件进行反思（《解释学》，via：http://baike.baidu.com/link?url=ep3fGZvgPfnpJuRvFOuMAVUaMTTGjKHeyLjit_p1BqyDkaC_jKcf1bm5gi8L7LDfDEnZfOIInLLEE2oonikz6q）。
