定义

所谓历史观，指人们对人类社会历史发展进程的一般看法，是指导人们观察社会历史的基本指导思想，也指观察和研究社会历史现象的基本的方法论。毛泽东的历史观经历了一个曲折的转变过程，在强烈的社会动荡和初步政治实践的经验中，他的思想完成了从保皇派、资产阶级改良派和革命派的转变，又进一步实现了从唯心主义世界观到唯物主义世界观的转变，唯物史观开始成为他观察和分析社会、改造中国与世界的方法论与基本工具。毛泽东的历史观的最主要的内容，是他对历史发展前进方向的坚定信念，他认为共产主义的思想体系和社会制度，是自有人类历史以来最完全最进步最革命最合理的思想体系和社会制度，坚信人类历史发展的前途是共产主义，体现了他的明确的历史观念（张海鹏，2004：73）。关于历史发展规律的认识是他的历史观的基础，以此为基础，关于生产力和生产关系的矛盾运动的观点，关于是英雄创造历史还是人民群众创造历史的观点，关于文化反映经济基础又反作用于经济基础的观点，也都是他历史观的体现。
