德国古典哲学指18世纪末至19世纪上半叶的德国哲学。它的创始人为康德，黑格尔为集大成者，费尔巴哈为第一个走出德国古典哲学的人。它产生于德国资本主义发展的独特条件下，作为德国资产阶级利益和愿望的理论表现，德国古典哲学、特别是它的辩证法，反映了英国产业革命和法国大革命所引起的急剧的社会变化，但也表现了德国资产阶级的软弱性，它的理论往往具有抽象的、思辨的形式。德国古典哲学广泛吸收了以前哲学家们的思想成果，对它有直接影响的主要是：以R.笛卡尔和B.斯宾诺莎为代表的理性主义学派、英法经验主义学派和启蒙运动学派、德国莱布尼茨—沃尔夫学派。德国古典哲学家们在总结前人哲学学说的基础上，提出并探讨了一些新的重大哲学问题，但是，德国古典哲学并不是一个统一的学派。在哲学基本问题上，康德是二元论者，费希特是主观唯心主义者，谢林和黑格尔是客观唯心主义者，费尔巴哈则是坚定的唯物主义者。然而德国古典哲学又有其内在的首尾一贯的发展规律，康德开始了德国哲学的革命，经过费希特和谢林的努力，最后由黑格尔集德国唯心主义之大成，完成了包罗万象的哲学体系。到了费尔巴哈，德国哲学开始向另一个方向发展。费尔巴哈对以黑格尔为代表的德国唯心主义哲学进行了批判和清算，重新确立了唯物主义的权威，但同时也充分暴露出费尔巴哈唯物主义的根本缺陷，表明它在原有的基础上已不可能继续前进了。这样，德国古典哲学就完成了它的历史使命而宣告终结（via:http://baike.baidu.com/link?url=Q5tyfupPsN4uVwy7OVNGgcpewbK9QaQ2X7upj1Ih9A0edqbtuNxcxqqyEPCUQpBPYHqm5XeA_J5S6E0fA0ba_a）。
