敦煌壁画伎乐天之一。药叉是北方毗沙门天王的眷属，列为天龙八部之一，为佛国天界的护法神，形态丑陋，勇健凶残，但也能做乐、跳舞。

A Buddhist mythological figure depicted in the Dunhuang murals. Yaksha refers to a bandhava of Pishaman, ranking among the eight divisions of dragons and devas. Yaksha is the guardian god of the Buddhist world, who is ugly and ferocious but strong and brave with talents of musical dance.
