The Six Classes of Sentient Beings (six gatis)

定义

天道、人道、阿修罗道、地狱道、畜生道、恶鬼道。天道、人道、阿修罗道为三善道，地狱道、畜生道、恶鬼道为三恶道。

　The conditions of existence are deva (god), human, asura (demigod), “hell being”, animal and “hungry ghost”. Deva, human and asura are seen as the three good states of existence, whereas “hell being”, animal and “hungry ghost” are seen as the three evil states of existence.
