唐代通俗小说。又称《秋胡小说》、《秋胡变文》。原卷内容不完整。叙秋胡告别妻母，先在胜山学习《九经》、《七略》，后仕于魏国。家中不知其音信，其母劝媳妇改嫁，妇坚决不从。六年后秋胡辞官归家，途中见一采桑美妇，便欲求之。待到归家才发现采桑人即是其妻。其妻在母前怒责秋胡不忠不孝。

Also known as The Story of Qiu Hu and Qiu Hu Bianwen, it is a secular story from the Tang Dynasty, as recorded in the Dunhuang manuscripts, with an incomplete original copy. In the story, a man named Qiu Hu bids farewell to his wife and mother and goes to Shengshan to study the Nine Confucian Classics and the Seven Catalogs of Classics. After that, he secures an official post in the Kingdom of Wei. At the same time, his family loses contact with him, and his mother tries to persuade the daughter-in-law to remarry, but meets with strong resistance. Six years later, Qiu Hu resigns from his post and on his way back home is intrigued by a charming lady picking mulberry leaves and attempts to woo her. Upon his arrival home, it turns out that the lady is his own wife who then reproaches Qiu Hu in front of his mother for being disloyal to her and unfilial to his mother.
