定义

创新型人才指富于开拓性，具有创造能力，能开创新局面，对社会发展做出创造性贡献的人才（奚洁人，2007：263）。创新型人才通常表现出灵活、开放、好奇的个性，具有精力充沛、坚持不懈、注意力集中、想象力丰富以及富于冒险精神等。创新型人才一般具有这么几个特征：有很强的好奇心和求知欲；有很强的自我学习与探索的能力；在某一领域拥有广博而扎实的知识和有较高的专业水平；具有良好的道德修养，能够很好地与他人合作；有健康的体魄和良好的心理素质，能承担艰苦的工作（张玉华、王周伟，2014：25）。一个创新型人才需要具备三方面的基本要素，即人格、智能和身心（奚洁人，2007：263）。只有具备深厚的专业知识、多元的思维结构、积极的个性品质、全面的创新能力，才可称得上是创新型人才（贵阳市干部培训教材编审指导委员会，2014：123）。“创新型人才是人类优秀文化遗产的继承者、最新科学成果的创造者和传播者、未来科学家的培育者。建设创新型国家，科技是关键，人才是核心，教育是基础。要树立人才资源是第一资源的观念；要完善培养体系，不拘一格选用人才，加紧建设一支宏大的创新型科技人才队伍；要推进市场配置人才资源，有效提升我国人才和人力资源综合开发水平，努力形成人才辈出、人尽其才的新局面”（奚洁人，2007：263）。
