定义

经济范畴指的是人们对经济本质的概括和反映，即人们对经济关系的理性认识所形成的概念，如生产力、生产关系、价值和剩余价值等概念。人们在社会实践中得到的关于社会经济现象的感性认识，经过科学的抽象，提高到理性认识，而形成经济范畴。在马克思看来,“经济范畴”是一种“形式规定”，“形式规定”由“本质规定”所决定，同时这种“形式规定”总是以一定的“物质存在”或“自然存在”为载体（王峰明，2006：35）。经济范畴同普通的经济概念不同，后者只是反映某些个别的经济现象或经济过程，经济范畴则是反映大量出现的经济现象或经济过程。现实的生产关系总是要随着生产力的发展变化而发展变化的，所以除了少数反映一般生产的经济范畴以外，大多数经济范畴不是永恒的，而是同它所表现的生产关系一样，不断的发展变化（via:http://baike.baidu.com/link?url=Iny9-cKjcvBxZENvxrucTV-ApXq_8T--XhA4AtvOlGYWoy39_J9CdnW4zgdy8anBI_3nEddU3DUqlVu6FEoI3K）。经济范畴按照时间范围和本质认识又有不同的分类，它既是认识社会生产关系的结果，也是进一步认识社会生产关系的工具。科学的经济范畴，能够更深刻、更正确、更完全地反映社会的生产关系。人们可以通过已经掌握的经济范畴，继续研究那些还没有认识清楚的社会经济现象，创立新的经济范畴或给旧的经济范畴以新的内涵。在社会主义条件下，对经济范畴的深入研究，便于不断地从理论上掌握社会主义生产关系的本质，从而有助于在实践中发展和完善社会主义生产关系。
