定义

自然属性是自然科学中自然界、生物界等方面的事物本质的面貌、规律、现象，对大脑的反应和认识。也可以叫做，大脑对自然界事物的面貌、规律、现象本质属性的反应和认识。自然属性是一个抽象的名词，它是对自然界事物面貌、规律、现象以及特征的本质的描述说明。它不受思想意志支配、调整来改变的部分说明，生物与非生物的标志是非物质的产生。生产力和科学技术的提高，自然界里自然属性的东西也在不断的发展和变化。例如：地球的自转、公转；水往低处流；江河奔流；天要下雨；生物要繁衍生息；人要生老病死；这些事物，有的就可以被意志改变：可引水上山；可人工降雨；可生灭物种；可延长寿命等等。而被改变了的事物的属性就是社会属性范畴了（自然属性.via：http://baike.baidu.com/item/%E8%87%AA%E7%84%B6%E5%B1%9E%E6%80%A7?sefr=cr）。“人的自然属性和社会属性也是同时存在、相互依赖的，人的社会属性以自然属性为基础和依托，人的自然属性又被社会属性所规定和制约”（王孝哲，2009：72）。“现实人的自然属性也已经是社会化了的自然属性”（辛世俊，2013：100）。“在自然属性与社会属性上，也是如此，自然属性是基础，社会属性是对自然属性的规范”（朱成全，2011：163）。“所谓自然属性、社会属性和精神属性的基础并不是完全并列的关系，精神属性存在于社会属性的基础之上，社会属性又存在于自然属性之上，而精神属性有的还同自然属性直接的联系”（韩庆祥，2005：132）。
