· When a general stays with his army，he should feel as if he were out scouting. When he enters enemy territory，he should feel as if a serious battle will break out immediately.When he captures anything from the enemy，he must examine it for hidden trickery. When he encounters difficulties，he must check if there are spies concealed in his army.When the enemy challenges，he must think over whether or not it is a plot. Before he orders an attack，he must make good preparations with correct strategy.

• 好胜者必败，恃壮者易疾。
