古代杂技名，以缘竿演技而得名，又叫都卢、寻橦。都卢为古代国名，据说该国之人体轻善缘高，故作为缘竿的代称。橦即木竿，寻橦即缘竿。后人亦因张衡之句而称缘竿为“橦末伎”。

The name of an ancient acrobatic performing art. Also called dulu, or xuntong, so named because it showed the skill of pole climbing. Dulu was the name of an ancient state in China. It was said that people from Dulu were agile and skilled at climbing, thus the name of the state was used to refer to this feat performed by its people. Tong in ancient Chinese meant a wooden pole and xuntong meant pole climbing. Later another name was used, “performer on the end of a wooden pole,” according to a sentence by Zhang Heng, a famous scholar who lived during the Han Dynasty.
