领导权，也称“霸权”、“主导权”（金炳华，2003：958），指社会统治集团对全社会的意识形态和文化的操纵控制（冯契，2007：2012）。“领导权”是意大利共产党领导人、理论家和社会活动家安东尼奥·葛兰西政治理论中的一个重要概念，在《狱中书信》、《狱中札记》中被提出（卢之超，1993：457）。葛兰西运用这一概念强调无产阶级在道德和知识方面的领导作用（卢之超，1993：457）。葛兰西认为，主导权是国家政权结构中的一个重要因素（金炳华，2003：958）。在葛兰西看来，发达资本主义国家的政权统治不仅需要依靠暴力实行强制，而且需要赢得被统治者的认同和顺从，从而才能够使资本主义意识形态成为整个社会成员的共同信仰。发达资本主义国家的政权统治的特征是强制加主导权。只有与意识形态上的主导权互相结合、互相补充，政治上的强制权才能构成广义上的国家。当统治阶级在思想上掌握群众的能力削弱时，国家会进入危机状态（冯契，2007：2012）。工人阶级要夺取政权，必须先夺取意识形态以及文化的主导权；工人阶级在赢得政权后，为保持政权，也需要对群众开展文化教育和精神道德方面的改革，继续成为全民族的思想、道德、文化诸方面的领导者。葛兰西指出，知识分子具有对全社会进行精神上和道德上的指导、组织和教育的功能，知识分子是代表社会统治集团实施主导权的社会力量。工会、学校、教会、报刊、家庭等社会机构、文化设施和宣传媒介则是控制社会的思想和生活的阵地（卢之超，1993：457）。
