定义

过渡时期指“从资本主义到社会主义之间的革命转变时期，是衰亡着的资本主义与生长着的共产主义彼此斗争时期，其主要矛盾是工人阶级同资产阶级之间的矛盾；主要任务是在发展生产力的同时进行生产资料私有制的社会主义改造，建立社会主义制度。过渡时期的国家只能是无产阶级的革命专政”（曲钦岳，1989：305）。1875年马克思在《哥达纲领批判》一书中提出并阐述了“过渡时期”的概念，即“在资本主义社会和共产主义社会之间，有一个从前者变为后者的革命转变时期。同这个时期相适应的也有一个政治上的过渡时期，这个时期的国家只能是无产阶级的革命专政。”（中共中央编译局，2012：21）。各国过渡时期的情况不同，在苏联，是从1917年十月革命胜利到1936年社会主义社会基本建成。我国的过渡时期是指1949年10月到1956年底由新民主主义向社会主义转变的历史时期。过渡时期分为两大阶段，第一阶段是从中华人民共和国成立到1952年底。第一阶段的中心任务是完成民主革命的遗留任务，在全国范围内建立新民主主义制度，巩固人民民主专政，迅速恢复国民经济。第二阶段是从1953年到1956年，根据中国共产党提出的过渡时期总路线，在全国绝大部分地区进行并基本上完成了对生产资料私有制的社会主义改造。“三大改造的胜利完成，表明几千年以来生产资料私有制为基础的阶级剥削制度已经消灭，以生产资料公有制为主体的社会主义经济制度已经基本建立，中国社会实现了从新民主主义到社会主义的转变。过渡时期结束，中国社会进入到社会主义初级阶段”（滕世宗，1999，via： http://book.duxiu.com/EncyDetail.jsp?dxid=900008508764&d=2A6568CC380E1EE5EA8FA54E3609F4D8）。
