定义

无产阶级政党领袖是指无产阶级及其政党的核心领导人物。无产阶级政党的领袖是在无产阶级革命斗争实践中产生出来的，是党内最有威信、最有影响、最有经验的，被选出担任最重要职务的人们组成的领导集团。在社会历史进程中，人民群众与杰出人物的历史作用是不可忽视的。列宁指出,“历史上，任何一个阶级，如果不推举出自己善于组织运动和领导运动的政治领袖和先进代表，就不可能取得统治地位”（列宁，1995：286）。无产阶级政党要领导无产阶级及其群众达到一定的政治目标，就要推举出善于组织运动和领导运动的政治领袖，无产阶级政党领袖的产生具有客观性。马克思说，“每一个社会时代都需要有自己的伟大人物，如果没有这样的人物，它就要创造出这样的人物来”（马克思等，1972：450）。马克思主义认为，群众、阶级、政党和领袖是一个不可分割的整体。国际无产阶级的伟大领袖马克思、恩格斯、列宁、斯大林、毛泽东、邓小平等人就是在历史发展过程中出现的，是党和人民的共同选择。无产阶级领袖是在革命斗争的实践中锻炼出来的，是为群众所公认的领导集团。无产阶级政党领袖创立、传播马克思主义理论，提高无产阶级觉悟；总结斗争经验，提出正确的革命战略策略；团结全党和人民群众，夺取无产阶级革命的最终胜利。因此，必须以科学的态度对待无产阶级政党领袖，即在承认人民群众是历史主人的前提下，充分肯定政党领袖在历史进程中的重要作用。
