1.没有事情做 without anything to do ( comb. -暇 -xiá leisure)：没有～工夫 méiyǒu xiángōngfu have no spare time (leisure) ext. 放着，不使用 lie idle, not in use：～房 xiánfáng an unoccupied room/ 机器别～着 jīqì bié xiánzhe Don't let the machine stand idle.
2.没有事情做的时候 at the time having nothing to do：农～ nóngxián slack season (in forming)/ 忙里偷～ mángli-tōuxián snatch a little leisure from the rush of business
3.与正事无关的 have nothing to do with business：～谈 xiántán chat/ ～人免进 xiánrén miǎn jìn No admittance except on business. ［闲话 -huà］与正事无关的话，背后不负责的议论 chat that has nothing to do with business; irresponsible talks (or comments) behind sb：讲别人的～～ jiǎng biéren de xiánhuà Don't make malicious remarks about the others.
