1.相貌，长(zhǎng)相 looks; appearance ( comb. 容- róng- facial features; looks)：不能以～取人 bù néng yǐmào-qǔrén Don't judge people soly by their appearances.
2.外表的样子 outward appearance; exterior：～合神离 màohé-shénlí (of persons or parties) apparently in harmony but actually at variance; be at one in appearance but each goes his own way/ 他对人有礼～ Tā duì rén yǒu lǐmào. He is polite (or courteous) to people.
3.样子 appearance; shape：工厂的全～ gōngchǎng de quánmào a full view of the factory
4.古书注解里表示状态用的字，如“飘飘，飞貌”等 (of notes in ancient texts) state; condition, e.g. piāopiāo, fēimào (flying), etc. |
