Nirvana

定义

又译为般涅槃、波利昵缚男、泥洹、涅槃那，意译为圆寂、灭度、寂灭、无为、解脱、自在、安乐、不生不灭等。佛教教义认为涅槃是将世间所有一切烦恼都灭尽而进入一种圆满而寂静的状态，所以涅槃中永远没有生命中的种种烦恼、痛苦，从此不再有下一世的六道轮回。

Nirvana is a Sanskrit word which is originally translated as “perfect stillness”(圆寂). It has many other meanings such as liberation, eternal bliss, tranquil extinction, extinction of individual existence unconditioned, no rebirth, calm joy, etc. In Buddhism, it indicates that when everything disappears, the world will be complete and serene. Mortal beings who have experienced nirvana will be free from disturbances and bitterness, and will no longer reincarnate into the Six Realms of Existence.
